Vincent J. Scotto III

In Memory of, 1951 – 2020

Biography

Vincent J. Scotto, III passed away on May 19, 2020. He was born and raised in San Francisco and attended Riordan High School, USF and Lincoln University Law School. In 1979 he received his JD and joined Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold, a firm well known for handling workers’ compensation/third party subrogation cases.

In late 1989, Vince formed the Law Offices of Vincent J. Scotto, III. With offices in San Mateo and Martinez, it has provided services to thousands of clients. Vince and his team have been successful at resolving catastrophic cases and marshaling workers’ compensation private and public benefits to assist families that have been devastated by the effects of a family member’s sever workers’ compensation injuries. 

Vince received many accolades honoring his accomplishments. Vince was a longtime Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation. He was a member of the California Applicants Association (and a past president of the San Francisco Chapter) and Consumer Attorneys of California. In addition, he was a past president of the San Mateo County Trial Lawyers Association named him the current Trial Lawyer of the Year and the State of California Lawyers Association Workers’ Compensation section named him the Applicant Attorney of the Year. Vice was a frequent lecturer of CAAA, CAOC and local bar associations. 

Vince was an advocate for his clients and considered them to be part of his extended family. He worked tirelessly to fight for the best possible outcomes for them and their families. He believed he was a partner in their cause and worked relentlessly to achieve favorable results as well as offer his advice along the way.
