Woman brutally injured after vicious 95-pound dog attacks her

A brutal dog attack outside the state of California left a woman with multiple broken bones, a bevy of cuts, bruises, and bite marks all across her body, and a neighborhood in fear. The incident occurred in New Jersey, after a woman went over to her neighbor’s home and knocked on the door. She was simply trying to talk to the neighbor to warn him and his family about rat poison that had been discovered in the neighborhood.

As the man cracked the door open, his 95-pound Argentinian Mastiff plowed through and attacked the woman. She says she doesn’t remember anything about the attack, but she has the scars and physical injuries to show it.

The woman broke multiple fingers, cracked her hip, and revealed numerous bite marks all over her body. The dog in question wasn’t properly registered, and has been involved in numerous other attacks before. A judge is now trying to determine if the dog needs to be euthanized. The Mastiff is currently in quarantine.

This is, sadly, an all-too-common story when it comes to dog bites. A negligent owner who is aware of past violent behavior by his or her dog just allows that dog to continue to be violent. It’s reckless and unacceptable. Dog owners are given a tremendous privilege with their dogs — but also an awesome responsibility. When they skirt that responsibility, they have to be held accountable for their actions (or inaction).
